Born in Lucca in 1973, a real passion for Africa and for storytelling, Simone has been travelling to many countries for work; his walkabouts have brought him to Darfur (Sudan), Haiti, Nicaragua, Senegal, Mali, the Baltic Republics, Kenya, Israel, Gaza Strip, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Niger etc. His works on Darfour has been exhibited by the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 2008 he has published his first book, “In Burkina”, which documents some of his best work in the African country. He’s been commissioned by UNESCO Chair in Culture of Peace ( University of Florence) for a reportage on Israel and Palestine. His photos have been published on several Italian magazines and all the main national newspapers. Simone currently lives near Pisa. From 2006 to 2012 worked for Emblema Agency.  In the last 5 years, in addition to commercial work, he has carried out personal research, creating two documentaries and a research work on landscape and light.
